Leeds confirm Meslier departure
Leeds United have confirmed that goalkeeper Illan Meslier will leave the club this summer, upon the expiration of his contract at Elland Road.
Meslier played a part in two promotions to the Premier League, but failed to make a single Premier League appearance during the 2025/26 season having fallen out of favour with Daniel Farke.
Meslier made his debut for the club in January 2022, and went on to keep 72 clean sheets in 215 appearances. He was also named the club's Young Player of the Year during the 2020/21 season.

Davies signs contract extension at Spurs
Ben Davies has signed a new 12-month deal at Tottenham to extend his stay at the club into a 13th season.
Wales captain Davies only made five appearances during an injury-ravaged last season, but was praised by Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi for his leadership during a tense and ultimately successful relegation battle in the Premier League.
Davies, who has appeared 363 times for Tottenham, was present for matches at Aston Villa and Chelsea before he helped with the teams preparations before a final-day win at home to Everton. The 33-year-old joined from Swansea in 2014.
Tottenham Hotspur really feels like home. Its been a huge part of my football journey and Im grateful for what the club has given me so far in my career, Davies told the official club website.
Its been difficult over the past few months, not being able to help the team on the pitch in some tough moments due to injury. So, I tried to help the boys off it as much as I could, being a voice in the dressing room and around the group, contributing in any way I could.
My hearts on my sleeve for this club and Ill give everything for it.

Alvarez's preference revealed after Real bid
Your Site News' Gary Cotterill:
"It's the Galactico bid that Florentino Perez was promising in that election campaign.
"Today, they name that player and make that bid. There is a big difference between a bid and bringing the player to the club. Maybe a bit of mischief-making, a little bit of living up to his promise.
"Alvarez is on a contract until 2030 and has a clause in that contract that a bid of 500m has to be made before they have to sell.
"That is a bit of protection for Atletico, it is not a realistic figure. A much smaller bid would be acceptable, somewhere around the 150m mark, if the player wanted to leave and the club were happy to sell him.
"Barcelona are also interested in the player, as were Arsenal and PSG but it has been made clear to them that the player wants to go to Barcelona, if he goes anywhere.
"Interesting bid. It is a little bit cheeky from Real Madrid."

Atleti remind Real of HUGE 430m Alvarez release clause...
Latest from Your Site News' Kaveh Solhekol:
Atletico Madrid have reminded Real Madrid of Julian Alvarez's 430m (500m) release clause after rejecting a bid of 129m (150m) for the striker from their rivals.
Barcelona have also made no secret of the fact that they want to sign him. Tuesday's development is bad news for them as it sets a benchmark price for the player.
Atletico signed Alvarez for 81m (94m) from Manchester City in 2024.
The player is contracted until 2030, with Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal also linked with a move. However, interested parties have been expecting Alvarez to join Barcelona.
