Newcastle complete Jaouen deal

Newcastle have confirmed the signing of Ewen Jaouen.

The goalkeeper joins on a 18.5m deal from Reims, and completed his medical yesterday.

On his signing, Jaouen told the club's website: Im really excited to become a Newcastle United player.

When I visited the training ground, I could see how passionate everyone is about the club and the work they do, and I loved the environment straight away. I also had the chance to see the stadium and its huge.

Ive heard so much about the supporters and how they are the best in the country. The passion of the entire city and the atmosphere at St James Park are famous throughout football, and I cant wait to experience that for myself and become a true Geordie.

As a goalkeeper, I enjoy one on one situations and playing as a modern keeper, building from the back and being comfortable with the ball at my feet. Now I want to develop alongside the amazing players and staff here, enjoy my football, and prove my value on the pitch.

Jaouen announcement expected today

Latest from Your Site News' Keith Downie:

Newcastle will announce the signing or Ewen Jaouen today.

The giant goalkeeper has arrived in a 18.5m deal from Reims, and completed his medical yesterday.

The 20-year-old Frenchman will become Newcastles first signing of the summer, and will kick in when the window opens on Monday.

Barcelona yet to make final decision on Rashford

Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas:

Contrary to reports elsewhere, Your Site News understands Barcelona have not made any final decision about Marcus Rashford; including whether to trigger the option in his loan, which expires on June 15,  or pursue another loan deal, or end their interest altogether.

There has been widespread speculation that Anthony Gordon's 69.3m deal is instead of signing Rashford - but Your Site News understands that is not the case and every option is still available.

Michael Olise's brother among players released by Chelsea

Chelsea have released four players, all of whom came through their academy - including Michael Olise's brother.

Richard Olise signed for Chelsea's U9s a decade ago and while he did not make a first team appearance, he was named in the first-team squad for a Conference League trip to Astana during the 2024/25 season.

While he is looking for a new club, his brother - who plays at Bayern Munich - was recently linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Another footballing sibling, Sam Rak-Sakyi - brother of Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi - is also being released by the Blues.

He made four first team appearances in the Conference League campaign, making his debut against Noah.

Defender Brodi Hughes will also leave Chelsea after 13 years. He spent last season on loan at AFC Wimbledon.

Finnish international Jimi Tauriainen departs too, who also made a handful of first team appearances.

Elsewhere, striker Ronnie Stutter will move to a month-to-month contract with the Blues.

Welsh completes Swansea move

Stephen Welsh has ended his long association with Celtic by joining Swansea on a permanent transfer.

The 26-year-old came through the Hoops academy and made 70 appearances for his boyhood club after making his debut in 2020 but has been unable to fully establish himself at Parkhead.

After Welsh spent the past season on loan at Motherwell, Celtic agreed to terminate his contract a year early in order to give him the chance of a fresh start elsewhere.

The centre-back has now landed a two-year deal at Swansea with the option of an additional 12 months.

I am delighted to be joining Swansea, its a big club with a proud history, he told the Championship clubs website.

They made it clear that they really wanted me, and with the way the head coach spoke about the club, the environment he wants to create and the way he wants to play, it was a no-brainer.

The Championship is a brilliant division, and one I am excited to be playing my football in and challenging myself in. I have experience but I am also young enough to be ready for a new opportunity and a new chapter in my career.

Sancho leads Man Utd departures as 73m forward released

Jadon Sancho will leave Manchester United on a free transfer at the end of his contract this summer five years after joining the club for 73m.

The 26-year-old winger will depart Old Trafford having spent the last two seasons away from the club, on loan at Chelsea and Aston Villa respectively.

He joined to fanfare from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 after scoring 50 goals in 137 games for the German side, but managed just 12 in 83 across five seasons in the north west.

Casemiro and Tyrell Malacia, as previously announceed, are also leaving the club following the expiration of their contracts.

Bissouma to leave Spurs when contract expires

Yves Bissouma has left Tottenham with his contract set to expire this summer.

The midfielder has spent four years at the club after joining from Brighton, and was key in the semi-finals and final of Spurs' Europa League triumph last year.

However, his final season at the club saw him play in just 11 matches after a string of off-field issues and injury.

Under-21 players Pele Arganese-McDermott, Tyrell Ashcroft, Leo Black, Dante Cassanova, Matthew Craig and Calum Logan have all left following the conclusion of their contracts.

Fagan-Walcott set for Hearts medical

Latest from Your Site News' Amar Mehta:

Malachi Fagan-Walcott will undergo a medical today ahead of a move to Hearts from York City.

Your Site News understands that a total package of around 1m, including add-ons has been agreed.

Your Site News reported that York had rejected three bids off around 500,000 plus add ons. With a club-to-club agreement in place, Hearts are now in discussions with the player's representatives.

Forest announce four departures

Nottingham Forest have announced that four players will leave the club at the end of their contracts this summer.

Angus Gunn, Stefan Ortega, Willy Boly and Lorenzo Lucca will all depart.

Gunn signed new one-year deal last summer but made just one Premier League appearance. Ortega joined on a short-term deal midway through the season, but leaves after playing 10 times in all competitions.

Boly has been at the club since 2022, but the 35-year-old has featured just six times in the Premier League over the last two seasons.

Lucca was on loan but clause in his contract to make the deal permanent wasn't exercised.
