'McKenna leaves with legend status secured'
Your Site' Ali Stafford:
Kieran McKenna has brought generational joy to Ipswich Town and their fans during his time in Suffolk, with him leaving an early setback in their ambition for Premier League survival.
McKennas back-to-back promotions from League One to a first Premier League campaign in 22 years exceeded expectations, but the squad rebuild last summer that ultimately led to an immediate return to the top-flight was arguably just as impressive.
The Northern Irishman can leave Ipswich this summer with his club legend status secured, having won three promotions in four years and delivered levels of success not seen at Portman Road in decades.
An opportunity to join an established Premier League club would surely have been an attempting proposition to McKenna and a logical next step in his career, having seen his reputation continue to grow during his time at Ipswich, so the decision to take a break will come as surprise.
Relegation however expected - was the only blotch on McKennas report card during his time at Ipswich. He leaves behind a squad better equipped to stay in the Premier League than the one he took up two years ago, although a big summer of recruitment for Ipswich now extends beyond just players.
McKenna stepping down as Ipswich boss
Kieran McKenna is stepping down as Ipswich manager and will take a break from football.
McKenna had been linked with the vacancy at Fulham but Your Site News has been told he will not be taking over at Craven Cottage, nor any other club in the near future.
Ipswich are protected financially should he decide to take up a new role in the next 12 months.
They would be due compensation in line with the remaining time left in his contract up until the one-year mark. The current figure stands at around 7m.
Spurs confirm Senesi signing
Tottenham have confirmed the arrival of Marcos Senesi as a free agent.
The Argentina defender will officially join the club on July 1 when his contract at Bournemouth expires.
Speaking in a statement, Senesi said: "It's a very special feeling to be a Tottenham Hotspur player.
"From the first moment, the club has shown why they want me and how much they want me to be a part of what they are building. It's exciting and something I can't wait to be involved in.
"Every time I step on the pitch, I will do my best to make the fans proud and to take the club back to the place it belongs.
"I want to win things with Tottenham and will do everything I can to make that happen."
Senesi now joins Andy Robertson in signing for Spurs as a free agent, as Roberto De Zerbi secures two signings to bolster his defensive options ahead of next season.
The club are also hoping to sign Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton. Brighton revealed on Sunday they have rejected two bids for the Dutch defender.
Spurs are believed to be encouraged by van Heckes desire to only sign for Spurs despite interest elsewhere.
Kehl no longer in the running for Spurs role
Latest from Sky Germany:
Sebastian Kehl will not become Tottenham's new co-sporting director.
The 46-year-old had been the recent frontrunner and held talks regarding the role but has decided an agreement cannot be reached.
Roberto De Zerbi will have a big say on transfers this summer and who the new sporting director will be.
Dougie Freedman, the current sporting director of Saudi side Al-Diriyah who previously worked at Crystal Palace in the same role, had also been a candidate previously.
Cambridge confirm Stead signing
Cambridge United have confirmed the signing of forward Callum Stead.
The 26-year-old has signed a two-year deal at the club and joins after scoring 50 goals in 124 appearances for League Two side Barnet.
Speaking in a statement confirming his arrival, Stead said: Im really pleased to be here. The chance to test myself in League One was a big factor for me and, after speaking with the club, it felt like the right move.
"They outlined how they want the team to play and I felt it was a style that would suit me and allow me to contribute."

Rogers: I hear transfer speculation but am using it positively
England forward Morgan Rogers has admitted he hears speculation over his future but is fully concentrated on his game.
The Aston Villa forward is wanted by Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG and Manchester United this summer as talk of a 80m move away ramps up.
But Rogers - who is away with the Three Lions at the World Cup - says while he knows the speculation is there, it will not sway his concentration.
"I think the first time it ever happened it was," Rogers told the Rest Is Football Podcast when asked if transfer speculation affects his concentration.
"Youre in an uncomfortable spot of not realising that people have so much interest in you and youre not quite realising that.
"But as you get older and gain experience along the way, you know that comes with it and 95 per cent of it is just noise.
"You hear it, course you do. You cant help not [hearing it]. You know its there but youve got to use it in a positive way.
"You just try and get on with your game and just focus."
Bournemouth eyeing another Mandas loan
Latest from Your Site News' Mark McAdam:

However, Bournemouth like the 24-year-old and would be open to a new loan deal for next season providing the numbers work for both parties.
Talks continue between both parties - Bournemouth have an open dialogue with Lazio.
